Two more complementary therapies have recently been approved by NICE (National
Institute for Clinical Excellence) and are now part of
NHS.
DEFINITION OF GOOD HEALTH
The body and mind working to their full potential at all times
AIM OF COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES
Using different approaches they all have a common goal which is to mantain or restore
health by rebalancing mind and body and stimulating the body's own healing properties.
AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
This brings together the traditional benefits of body massage with the therapeutic
properties of pure essential oils like Lavender, Sandalwood, and Peppermint.
REFLEXOLOGY
It is a combination of massage and gentle working on the pressure points of your feet. It
works on the principle that all of your "body parts" are mapped on your feet and
provides stimulation to the whole body.
ON SITE MASSAGE
There are some similarities with Indian Head Massage, but On Site Massage uses a
specially designed massage chair to support your head and upper body, allowing more
pressure on the back if required.
REIKI - HEALING
A simple system of healing carried out by placing the hands on or over a person.
Beneficial energy flows to the recipient through the healer to deal with "dis-ease" at the
deepest level.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
This consists of massaging the upper back, shoulder, arms, scalp and neck while
seated.
